On-Campus Community Vision / Contemplative Retreat

Common Thread Church Campus

Come join us for a Community Vision / Contemplative Retreat at Common Thread! Using the ancient Benedictine rhythm of "Ora et Labora" (prayer and work) to structure our time together, our retreat will include: Coffee and snacks when you arrive Sacred chant and music Communal movement Guided meditation / contemplative practices Opportunities for intentional silence A podcast-style conversation with Jack and Sue A full lunch Communal Listening - Visioning Session (afternoon) CHILDCARE WILL BE PROVIDED OPTIONAL COMMUNAL DINNER OUT AFTER A detailed agenda will be emailed to folks who register the week prior to the event. We hope you'll be able to stay for the whole day - to ground yourself in the rhythms of the practices in the morning in order to bring clearer intentions to the afternoon's listening session, but there is no obligation at all to do so.  Feel free to attend the entire event or just the parts that particularly interest or feel potentially nourishing for you. Self-Awareness Small Group Formation

We form small groups for self-awareness twice a year that meet as many times as there are people in the group (usually 3-4) for about 1.5 hours at a time. Please complete this form by 4/13 if you would like to participate this spring. When we are triggered, our self-awareness practice is a tool that we use to pay attention to what we are thinking, sensing and feeling and discover how the beliefs we carry disrupt our access to divine peace and joy. If you are interested in developing this practice with a small group of CTC folks, please sign up to participate in a self awareness practice group.
