    NC United Power for Action invites you to a nonpartisan public forum with candidates for US Senate to discuss our priorities of affordable housing, healthcare, public education, immigration, workers' rights and the proposed cap on county property taxes.     The Meditation Room downstairs is open each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. for anyone who would like a quiet place to find peace and grounding before the service begins. When a leader is available, we’ll hold twenty minutes of Centering Prayer beginning at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome.

    Join us for a relaxed Fall Picnic immediately following Sunday service. We will be at the Oak Room, an outdoor picnic area, in Dorothea Dix Park. We’ll gather to enjoy lunch together, take in the crisp autumn air, and spend time in fellowship. Kids are welcome! Please bring: Your lunch or any food you'd like to share A blanket and/or lawn chairs Sunglasses Jacket Optional: If you have a high-quality Bluetooth speaker, we'd love to play some music as well. We look forward to spending time together and enjoying a beautiful fall day!
