The fair is on October 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and we are looking for help: Sun, 9/27 — Drop off donated craft items Fri, 10/2 · 4:00–7:00 p.m. — Setup + drop off baked goods Sat, 10/3 · 9:00–10:30 a.m. — Final setup + drop off baked goods Sat, 10/3 · 10:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. — Fair is open!     The Meditation Room downstairs is open each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. for anyone who would like a quiet place to find peace and grounding before the service begins. When a leader is available, we’ll hold twenty minutes of Centering Prayer beginning at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome.

    The CTC Brew Crew typically meets the first Sunday of the month from 4-6 p.m. at Wilson's Eatery. The address is 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27604. Don’t worry if you don’t drink beer—join us for a soda or coffee instead. Hope to see you there!

  • HOPE Ministries Breakfast & Outreach

    Garner United Methodist Church

    Join us as Common Thread Church partners with HOPE Ministries and Garner United Methodist to bless our unhoused neighbors in the Raleigh/Garner area in a morning of service that is "here.now.small.doable." Event Day We’ll be serving breakfast, offering showers, and distributing clothing to those in need. Common Thread’s Role: Cooking and serving hot grits with toppings & assisting with shower stations. Garner UMC’s Role: Serving bagels with cream cheese, assisting with showers, and distributing clothing. Ways You Can Help: Volunteer  – Come on the day of the event to help cook and serve grits, assist with shower coordination, and offer hospitality.     Come join our creative collective that meets every second Saturday. If you are a little artsy? Or you just like art. It doesn't matter if you have never been creative—come anyway. It has been proven that participating in the arts in any form will rewire your brain to help you become less stressed as well as healthier and happier. This is an informal gathering for a few hours on a Saturday where folks can work on any sort of "artsy" project they'd like. Some months there will be a theme, which will be explained in the "Chat" for this group. BYO supplies (or use some of the church's supply). You may also bring a snack for yourself or anything to share. Supervised children are welcome. We will meet in the Chapel or Teen Room (leader will post a note if it's down in the Teen Room). If you're ready to get into a flow state while connecting with others, this Artsy Group is for you! RSVP
