    When we observe ourselves feeling and reacting from unsettling emotions like anger, sadness, and fear, the self awareness practice helps us investigate so we can release stories and patterns that no longer serve our wellbeing and so we can embrace ourselves and others with more compassion and grace. If you want to learn more about the self awareness practice, please drop in and observe 2 members of the Common Thread Community do this practice together. No prior knowledge or experience is required and everyone is invited and welcome. We will meet in Room 209. Feel free to bring your lunch/snack if desired.     Hours Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Raleigh Garden Club will have sun plants, shade plants, native plants, hostas, houseplants, pollinators and a variety of other plants available for sale. They get their plants from a variety of garden centers and personal gardeners so the list of plants is ever changing. They will be providing garden consultations and a Master Gardener will be present to answer questions. In addition, they have invited the Makus Takus food truck to be at The Ridge on Saturday from 11:00-2:00.

    Join us for a meaningful day of service and connection as we clean up litter in honor of Earth Day! We’ll give back to our community by starting at the Peach Road Cultural Center. Please complete this registration form with the City of Raleigh to participate. What to Bring: Old clothes, shoes, and gloves Bug spray Sunscreen Water and a snack Trash grabber sticks (if you have them) Trash bags will be provided. Come ready to serve, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors. Kids are welcome!

  • ONE Wake House Meeting Training

    Train With Us and Refresh Your Core Team Training Join leaders from ONE Wake institutions as we build relationships with those among us who would like to buy or rent places to live in Wake County, but are having difficulty doing so due to cost and/or lack of affordable housing inventory. Learn how to host listening sessions in small groups so that we can turn out at least 10 people from each institution to represent those who would directly benefit from our push for more affordable housing. This training is excellent for all members as we will review basic techniques for organizing, listening and building power within our own communities. Sign up and bring several members with you!
