Meditation Support Group
Meditation RoomJoin us monthly for practice, supportive conversation, and teaching meant for anyone interested in starting, deepening, or maintaining a regular meditation practice. If have been meditating daily for years and would like the support of others on a similar journey please consider attending. Also, perhaps you have always wanted to be able to meditate consistently but have run into barriers with starting or maintaining a consistent practice. All are welcome as we connect around deepening our practice of centering prayer and other forms of siting meditation. Childcare provided.

Christmas Party for Adults
Morgan & Jeff’s HouseMorgan and Jeff Herr will open their home up to the entire adult church community for a potluck Christmas party! Drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish or a dessert to share. For those who'd like to play White Elephant, please bring a small gift (~$5) and arrive by 7 p.m. to participate. In addition, if you're able to, please bring a Visa gift card in any amount, which will help provide meals to refugee families through Welcome House. Drop-In Self-Awareness
Room 209When we observe ourselves feeling and reacting from unsettling emotions like anger, sadness, and fear, the self awareness practice helps us investigate so we can release stories and patterns that no longer serve our wellbeing and so we can embrace ourselves and others with more compassion and grace. If you want to learn more about the self awareness practice, please drop in and observe 2 members of the Common Thread Community do this practice together. No prior knowledge or experience is required and everyone is invited and welcome. We will meet in Room 209. Feel free to bring your lunch/snack if desired. Kate’s HouseBunco is a fun, social dice game that is easy to learn and so much fun to play. We need 12-16 players. All adults are welcome. Here’s what you need to bring to play: $5 ante (goes toward cash prizes at the end) $5 wrapped gift called a "baby" (candle, chocolate, lotion, tea, gift card, etc.) Snack or drink to share Hope to see you there! Intuitive Painting
Teen RoomWe are all creators. “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” —Pablo Picasso Painting can be a restorative exercise that guides you to added relaxation and peace of mind. Intuitive painting is an approach that helps to explore the inner self. This work includes a meditative process of self-exploration. It may serve as a place where we can play, color, and lose ourselves in the process. Supplies Needed: One set of watercolor paints (can be a cheap set from Target or Michaels) Two brushes: one wide and one medium (wider than what comes with paint sets) Corrugated cardboard (like Amazon packages): at least 12" x 14” One set of the following: colored pencils, crayons, or colored markers, etc. A rag Register
