• ONE Wake House Meeting Training

    Watts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church

Train With Us and Refresh Your Core Team Training Join leaders from ONE Wake institutions as we build relationships with those among us who would like to buy or rent places to live in Wake County, but are having difficulty doing so due to cost and/or lack of affordable housing inventory. Learn how to host listening sessions in small groups so that we can turn out at least 10 people from each institution to represent those who would directly benefit from our push for more affordable housing. This training is excellent for all members as we will review basic techniques for organizing, listening and building power within our own communities. Sign up and bring several members with you! RSVP on ONE Wake site here

After the service, stick around for fellowship, light refreshments, and easy conversation. It’s a wonderful chance to connect more deeply with our church family — and newcomers are invited to chat with our pastor, Sue, if you’d like to learn more about CTC or explore ways to get involved. Feel free to bring goodies or leftovers to share! All are welcome — grab a cup of coffee and join the conversation!

  • Artsy Group Meetup

    Artsy Group Meetup
    Chapel or Downstairs Area

Come join our creative collective that meets every second Saturday. If you are a little artsy? Or you just like art. It doesn't matter if you have never been creative—come anyway. It has been proven that participating in the arts in any form will rewire your brain to help you become less stressed as well as healthier and happier. This is an informal gathering for a few hours on a Saturday where folks can work on any sort of "artsy" project they'd like. Some months there will be a theme, which will be explained in the "Chat" for this group. BYO supplies (or use some of the church's supply). You may also bring a snack for yourself or anything to share. Supervised children are welcome. We will meet in the Chapel or Teen Room (leader will post a note if it's down in the Teen Room). If you're ready to get into a flow state while connecting with others, this Artsy Group is for you! RSVP
