Fiction & Fellowship is a book club designed to promote community and connection at CTC through a shared love of reading for pleasure. We will meet on the 1st Tuesday of every month for a friendly and engaging discussion of a novel—no self-help or church-related books, just great fiction! Join us in person (Conference Room #205) or virtually via Zoom (link and password provided in the registration confirmation email). No need to commit every month—come whenever you can! For our next two meetings, which Rhonda will host, we will read these books: June – Horse by Geraldine Brooks July – Chances Are by Richard Russo After that, book selections will be chosen by the group and facilitated by other volunteers. Tea and cookies will be served. We’d love for you to join us! Register

Join Preston and others for a relaxed bike ride along the Raleigh Greenway! We'll start at Anderson Point Park and ride to Walnut Creek North Park, where we'll take a short break for a light snack. The total ride, including the break, should take about 1.5 hours. Both our starting point and turnaround point have restrooms. Please bring water and any light snacks you'd like for the ride. Kids are welcome! Hope to see you there! Register

Join us monthly for practice, supportive conversation, and teaching meant for anyone interested in starting, deepening, or maintaining a regular meditation practice. If have been meditating daily for years and would like the support of others on a similar journey please consider attending. Also, perhaps you have always wanted to be able to meditate consistently but have run into barriers with starting or maintaining a consistent practice. All are welcome as we connect around deepening our practice of centering prayer and other forms of siting meditation. Childcare provided.

For April: Collage Workshop Discover the endless creative fun of collage in this free hands-on class led by enthusiast Dawn Ronco. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced artist, you’ll arrange interesting papers and other fodder into small works of art with your unique style. All materials and supplies included. Bring a sharp pair of scissors, a black pen, and a sharp pencil. Please pre-register so we can plan the space and supplies. Come join our creative collective that meets every second Saturday. If you are a little artsy? Or you just like art. It doesn't matter if you have never been creative—come anyway. It has been proven that participating in the arts in any form will rewire your brain to help you become less stressed as well as healthier and happier. This is an informal gathering for a few hours on a Saturday where folks can work on any sort of "artsy" project they'd like. But there will be a theme each month in case you would like to participate. The theme will be explained on the sign up page in notes prior to the weekend. BYO supplies There will be a suggested list in the notes. (although we can […]
We form small groups for self-awareness twice a year that meet as many times as there are people in the group (usually 3-4) for about 1.5 hours at a time. Please complete this form by 4/13 if you would like to participate this spring. When we are triggered, our self-awareness practice is a tool that we use to pay attention to what we are thinking, sensing and feeling and discover how the beliefs we carry disrupt our access to divine peace and joy. If you are interested in developing this practice with a small group of CTC folks, please sign up to participate in a self awareness practice group. If you need more information before deciding contact Kristi Phillips. Sign Up
