    Come join our creative collective that meets every second Saturday. If you are a little artsy? Or you just like art. It doesn't matter if you have never been creative—come anyway. It has been proven that participating in the arts in any form will rewire your brain to help you become less stressed as well as healthier and happier. This is an informal gathering for a few hours on a Saturday where folks can work on any sort of "artsy" project they'd like. Some months there will be a theme, which will be explained in the "Chat" for this group. BYO supplies (or use some of the church's supply). You may also bring a snack for yourself or anything to share. Supervised children are welcome. We will meet in the Chapel or Teen Room (leader will post a note if it's down in the Teen Room). If you're ready to get into a flow state while connecting with others, this Artsy Group is for you! RSVP

    Let's gather for some trail hiking at Umstead Park. All trails are easy-to-moderate, and we'll choose a trail based on the group's interests. Dogs and children are welcome! Meet up at the Visitors' Center off of Glenwood/Highway 70 → RSVP

    NC Museum of Art

    Join us for a relaxed Fall Picnic at the Museum of Art immediately following Sunday service. We’ll gather on the lawn to enjoy lunch together, take in the crisp autumn air, and spend time in fellowship. Kids are welcome! Please bring: Your lunch or any food you'd like to share A blanket and/or lawn chairs Sunglasses Jacket Optional: If you have a high-quality Bluetooth speaker, we'd love to play some music as well. We look forward to spending time together and enjoying a beautiful fall day!

  • Self-Awareness Retreat

    Well of Mercy

    Join CTC Thursday, November 5 through Sunday, November 8 for this year's Self-Awareness Retreat at Well of Mercy. The deadline to register is October 5th. Retreat Overview & Services This is a retreat in the stillness of the woods and river – offering a balance of structured group activities and time for solitude with a focus on self-awareness and contemplative practices. Optional activities include opportunities for breath work, meditation, walking the prayer path or labyrinth, sitting on a hammock, reading, and ample built-in time to rest and listen for the still, quiet inner voice. For an additional fee, you can also book a Healing Touch, a massage, or Spiritual Direction session with Well of Mercy staff. Click on this link to learn more information about Well of Mercy's services. Check-In & Checkout Check-in is 2-4 pm on Thursday, November 5 and checkout is at 11am on Sunday, November 8. Before signing up, please make sure you can accommodate these windows and that you are available to be present and free from work responsibilities during the retreat.
