Life Story Group Formation

We form Life Story groups twice a year that will meet as many times as there are people in the group (usually 3-4) for about 2 hours at a time. Please complete this form by 10/6 if you would like to participate this fall. For more information about how exactly LSGs work, please watch this video → Sign Up   Life Story Group Expectations/Recommendations Confidentiality. We agree not to share even bits and pieces of others’ stories with people who are not in the group. Even without names. Even without identifying details. Even with our intimate partners. That’s how hurtful gossip can happen. Non-judgement. This is trickier because we’re talking about what happens in your heart. One way to avoid the appearance of judgment is to avoid asking questions or making comments. Just listen through to the end then thank the speaker for their story. But you’re not on your own with any feelings and thoughts that might come up after listening! We are all creators. “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.” —Pablo Picasso Painting can be a restorative exercise that guides you to added relaxation and peace of mind. Intuitive painting is an approach that helps to explore the inner self. This work includes a meditative process of self-exploration. It may serve as a place where we can play, color, and lose ourselves in the process. Supplies Needed: One set of watercolor paints (can be a cheap set from Target or Michaels) Two brushes: one wide and one medium (wider than what comes with paint sets) Corrugated cardboard (like Amazon packages): at least 12" x 14” One set of the following: colored pencils, crayons, or colored markers, etc. A rag Register
