  • Adopt a Family for Christmas

    Common Thread Church Campus

    Kristi Phillips is hoping to do something special this Christmas for a beautiful family she has gotten to know, Edith and Miguel Allen Sallizar and their four kids: Emely (15), Jr. (11), Christopher (4), and Jayson (3). Christopher has special needs, and the whole family works so hard to care for him without much help. Kristi is organizing this and she'd love to give each child a Christmas gift and host a fun afternoon for them at Common Thread Church on December 20 from 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., while their parents enjoy a nice lunch out. We would be grateful for help funding the gifts and for folks (adults and kids) who can come play board games with the older ones or spend time with the little ones.   • On-Campus Community Vision / Contemplative Retreat

    Come join us for a Community Vision / Contemplative Retreat at Common Thread! Using the ancient Benedictine rhythm of "Ora et Labora" (prayer and work) to structure our time together, our retreat will include: Coffee and snacks when you arrive Sacred chant and music Communal movement Guided meditation / contemplative practices Opportunities for intentional silence A podcast-style conversation with Jack and Sue A full lunch Communal Listening - Visioning Session (afternoon) CHILDCARE WILL BE PROVIDED OPTIONAL COMMUNAL DINNER OUT AFTER A detailed agenda will be emailed to folks who register the week prior to the event. We hope you'll be able to stay for the whole day - to ground yourself in the rhythms of the practices in the morning in order to bring clearer intentions to the afternoon's listening session, but there is no obligation at all to do so.  Feel free to attend the entire event or just the parts that particularly interest or feel potentially nourishing for you.     Common Thread Church Campus

    Come join us for a Spiritual Practices Retreat at Common Thread! We will be exploring embodied spiritual practices and diving deeper into the Self-Awareness Practice. Using the ancient Benedictine rhythm of "Ora et Labora" (prayer and work) to structure our time together, our retreat will include: Communal rituals Music and chants Movement such as Qigong and Dance Nervous system regulation exercises Body Scan Meditations A Drum Circle Opportunities to learn and practice Self-Awareness Coffee and snacks when you arrive A full lunch Childcare A detailed agenda will be emailed to folks who register the week prior to the event. Feel free to attend the entire event or just the parts that particularly interest you. Need childcare? Just let us know when you register. It will be available from 9-3.
