Augustine is one of the main authors of our current doctrine of original sin. Sin is when a free person makes a bad decision that he/she shouldn’t have made. Often we don’t think enough about our decisions. We will worry about little sins but we don’t address the sickness indemic to human beings “stuck in sin”.
Genesis 2 tells us about the creation of humans. We are composed of dust and the sweet smelling breath of God. But then sin came in to the picture and it brought in a “contagion” that in many ways makes us like we are all zombies (living dead) underneath our skin. Listen to find out more…
