My last child is about to leave for college (43 more days). As I’m getting him ready to go out the door, I feel a sense of “finals-week” pressure. I’ve got to review 18 years of really important stuff with him as he finishes up his last few days of childhood.
He and I have a weekly breakfast to talk about the stuff on my list. Last week he bailed on me, so we had a makeup meeting Friday afternoon.
Friday afternoon!? C’mon! Who can think clearly on Friday afternoons?
My head was blitzed after a busy week, so I don’t think I did a very good job communicating. I told him to come to church this Sunday, and I would do a one-off lesson about what I was trying to explain.
So listen in. It’s about the importance of meditation — and how interior freedom is the essential prerequisite for external freedoms.
