This is a joint event with Ridge Road. We need 40 volunteers on 2/25 to pack meals for the non-profit Rise Against Hunger. Help transform the chapel into a packaging space to put together hundreds of meal kits for those in need. Please join us this Saturday starting at 8:30 a.m. to spread mulch, plant & relocate plants, hedge trim, and general grounds spruce up. Not necessary but bring them if you have them: garden gloves, rake, hedge trimmers, pitch fork.

Volunteers (age 5+) will be providing assistance in various activities. A great event to help our community while getting to know some friends from Common Thread and Ridge Road. This is a special opportunity open to children 5+ (normally only 12+ may volunteer). Closed-toed shoes required. How to Register 1. Register with Common Thread 2. Take a walk with us on a (hopefully) beautiful day to clean litter from Crabtree Creek Trail. Please wear old clothing/shoes and bring a change for the car. Bug spray/sunscreen suggested, too. Meet up on Saturday, May 11th, from 10:30-12:00 at Glen Eden Park: 1500 Glen Eden Dr., Raleigh 27612 We will be cleaning the Crabtree Creek Trail between Glen Eden Park and Blue Ridge Rd. Urban Ministries Food Drive

We will be participating in a food drive for Urban Ministries in our old Mordecai neighborhood during two Saturdays in October. On the first Saturday (10/19), we will drop off paper bags to be filled by residents. On the following Saturday (10/26), we will return to pick up the food-filled bags to donate. Please join us for either or both of these days. You can also donate food in the CTC church lobby from 10/13 to 10/27. Welcome House Thanksgiving

Let's join Ridge Road, who is partnering with Welcome House Raleigh, to provide a Thanksgiving *meal to 100+ refugee families on our church campus. Help needed with set-up, clean-up, sides and desserts, kids' games/crafts, as well as greeters and general help. This is a kid-friendly event and any help is welcome, even if you can only come for part of the event. General Schedule: Set-up from 12:00-1:30 Guests arrive around 1:30 (greet and host) Eat together from 2:30-3:30 Clean-up from 3:30-4:00ish *Meal included for all volunteers. Register

This Christmas we are collecting items to put together Blessing Bags for the unhoused in our city. Please donate what you can from the items below. There is a collection bin in the chapel lobby. You can also give monetary donations here. (Select "In It Together" from the dropdown menu.) The children will put together the bags during church and they will be distributed to everyone during our Christmas Eve service to later distribute to someone in need.
