Trauma Support Group Formation

Last chance to sign up, Groups start 6/25! At Common Thread, we’re creating a soft, confidential space for those carrying trauma—recent or long-held—to gently begin the work of naming, sharing, and releasing. This is not therapy, and no one will try to fix, save, or correct. Instead, we’ll unpack our stories slowly, kindly—honoring each story as it’s told, just as it was experienced. Led by the Rev. Heather Olson, who as a Veteran’s Administration chaplain has been trained and grounded in VA trauma support models, this pilot program will include nervous system regulating and contemplative practices. The group will follow a loose arc over six sessions, living into values that support healing and well-being. There’s room for gut-led facilitation, poetry, and silence too. If you’ve been carrying something for a long time, or just need to be witnessed in a safe and sacred circle, you are welcome here. Please sign up below with your session of choice. The groups will be capped at 8 participants. Sign Up

Finding Our Center in Shifting Sands: A Reflective Writing Workshop

Online

Join us online for this special workshop opportunity. In uncertain times, we need spaces to process our grief, concerns, and fears—while also nurturing resilience and hope. Finding Our Center in Shifting Sands is a guided expressive writing workshop that Perlie Davis and Cindy Appleby have designed as an opportunity for those seeking connection and emotional grounding in today’s turbulent political climate. Through reflective journaling, poetry, and shared conversation, we will honor our feelings, deepen self-awareness, and create a supportive space for healing. While this workshop is not about problem-solving, it offers an opportunity to find strength in the community. Join us in holding space for both our struggles and our capacity for transformation. The Zoom link and password is provided in registration confirmation. Register
