January 2026 Financial Report

We finally have our year-end numbers, and overall they are encouraging.
As you can see, we brought in a little over $263,000 in 2025 and spent a little over $264,000, which means we ended the year with a small deficit of $894.89 – not too shabby compared to previous years.

We ended the year with $36,351.31 in savings, and we have not needed to draw from those reserves.

You can also see the financial numbers for January. We brought in $22,913.68 and spent $21,450.08, which put us at a monthly surplus of $1,463.91. That means we are in a pretty solid position as we begin the year.

Some expenses will begin shifting in February – certain expenses were annual hits that won’t be ongoing, and we also have made some staffing changes that will affect our average monthly expenses. Our hope is to bring in just enough more than we need in order to contribute steadily to our reserves.

We’ll also be spending time this year strengthening our financial health in a variety of ways.

For instance, if you were in the room on Sunday, you know that we currently have a fundraiser underway to support our Service Quadrant. If you’d like to make an extra donation to support the Rise Against Hunger event we just completed, our work with ONE Wake, and/or our relationship with Hope Ministries, please give here. Our aim is to raise $5000 by the end of the quarter.

In the meantime, here are some ways you can invest in healthy spiritual community:

Begin giving or set up a recurring gift →
If you’re new, now’s a great time to begin giving. If you give regularly but haven’t set up a recurring donation, we encourage you to do so – it helps tremendously with planning and budgeting.

Increase your regular giving →
If you’re already giving and haven’t increased your gift in a while, we’d be deeply grateful if you’d consider it. Even a 5% increase can make a big difference.

If giving financially isn’t something you can do right now, no worries! Some are able to give more, some less, and some give in other ways altogether – and somehow, over time, it all evens out.

Thank you for the generosity you bring through your presence, your care, and the many gifts you share in this beautiful community we’re growing together. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Kerry Brock, our treasurer, or to Sue Kemple.
