Folks who grew up in church have probably heard the term “the mind of Christ.” (It’s in the Bible.) Today’s lesson suggest the term has the potential to help us out of the partisan pickle we find ourselves in as a nation.
So far in this lesson, we’ve seen several reasons we stumble so clumsily when we try to love our neighbor. Maybe “having the mind of Christ” is a thing — a real thing — an experience-that-changes-us, kind of thing. If so, it can help us move into the connectedness-consciousness we’ve been talking about.
