Coronavirus and CTCChurch activities are cancelled through March
As you’ve probably guessed, we’re following the governor’s guidance and cancelling church through March. That includes Sundays and all other activities in the building. (We hope to reschedule.)
- Sunday Morning Services
- Enneagram After-Church
- Serving at the Men’s Shelter
- Bridge-Building Group
- Meditation Group
- Small Group Meetings
- ONE Wake Meeting on 3/26
We’ll listen to our medical officials for when to return—and do a deep cleaning beforehand.
What are we going to do for the duration?
As you can imagine “social-distancing” isn’t conducive to communal spirituality. Hopefully, this will only last a few weeks. Thanks for all the suggestions about staying connected in the meantime. Any other ideas? Post ideas on our Facebook network.
Attend Sunday services online
Sunday at 10:00 a.m.—one service—on our Live Video page or Facebook page. (This is different from our Facebook network.) We’ll have either a live or pre-recorded video there. And, post What Are You Thinking in the thread under the video. I’ll respond online until Temple Table delivery (a handful of us are going to deliver meals).
Cards. Calls. Greenway walks.
I mentioned that many in our community are in high-risk categories. Check on one another. Social distancing will eventually cause cabin fever. Send cards. Make calls. Also, the last guidance I heard was 5-6 feet between us. That’s about as wide as a greenway path. Invite one another to get out of self-isolation and go for a walk. Use the contact list.
And again, any other connecting ideas, please post to our Facebook network.
What does spirituality have to say to us in moments like these?
I recorded some quick video thoughts (3 minutes). Have a listen.
