SUMMARY:On-Campus Community Vision / Contemplative Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a Community Vision / Contemplative Retreat at Common Thread!\nUsing the ancient Benedictine rhythm of “Ora et Labora” (prayer and work) to structure our time together\, our retreat will include: \n\nCoffee and snacks when you arrive\nSacred chant and music\nCommunal movement\nGuided meditation / contemplative practices\nOpportunities for intentional silence\nA podcast-style conversation with Jack and Sue\nA full lunch\nCommunal Listening – Visioning Session (afternoon)\nCHILDCARE WILL BE PROVIDED\nOPTIONAL COMMUNAL DINNER OUT AFTER\n\nA detailed agenda will be emailed to folks who register the week prior to the event. We hope you’ll be able to stay for the whole day – to ground yourself in the rhythms of the practices in the morning in order to bring clearer intentions to the afternoon’s listening session\, but there is no obligation at all to do so.  Feel free to attend the entire event or just the parts that particularly interest or feel potentially nourishing for you. \nNeed childcare?\nJust let us know when you register. It will be available from 8-4. Children may also participate in the large group activities as well. \nNo registration fees but donations accepted\nWhile there will be no registration fees for this retreat because we want this event to be accessible to everyone in our community\, we are HAPPY to accept donations to help us cover the cost of childcare\, food\, and any materials we might need that day. The suggested donation is $25\, but any amount is welcome and appreciated.
